Es liegt an den Pendlerstrecken vom Dublin nach Maynooth und vom Dublin Docklands zur M3 Parkway-Bahnstation.
Die Station wurde am 2. Juli 1990 eröffnet, zusammen mit Broombridge, Castleknock und Leixlip Confey. Wie die letzten drei dieser Stationen wurde sie 2000 im Rahmen eines Aufwertungsprojekts modernisiert, bei dem das provisorische Buchungsbüro durch ein festes Stationsgebäude ersetzt und die Bahnsteige verlängert wurden. Das Ticketbüro ist von Montag bis Freitag von 06:30 bis 13:00 Uhr geöffnet. Es ist am Samstag und Sonntag geschlossen.
