Die Friese Meren ist ein touristisches Gebiet im Südwesten und in der Mitte von Friesland. Besonders im Sommer zieht das Gebiet viele Wassersportler an. Der Höhepunkt der Wassersportsaison in diesem Gebiet wird durch die Sneekweek gebildet. Die meisten Friesenseen liegen in der sogenannten Südwest-Ecke, aber auch die Seen bei Grouw und Eernewoude werden normalerweise zu dem Gebiet gezählt.
