Panningen, im Volksmund Kepèl genannt , ist mit rund 7375 Einwohnern das größte Dorf in der niederländischen Gemeinde Peel. Seit dem 1. Januar 2010 bildet Panningen, als Kern der vormaligen Gemeinde Helden, einen Teil der Gemeinde Peel.Panningen liegt zentral zwischen den Städten Roermond, Weert und Venlo in der Provinz Limburg.Ortschaften in der Umgebung sind Beringe, Koningslust, Helden und Egchel.
