Oldebroek ist ein Ort in der gleichnamigen Gelderner Gemeinde Oldebroek. Der Kern Oldebroek und das Umland haben laut dem Statistischen Bundesamt über 6.310 Einwohner. Der Name ist eine Verfälschung von Broek oder Oldebruch und wurde erstmals im 14. Jahrhundert erwähnt. Als 1396 die nahegelegene Stadt Elburg mit einer Ringmauer umgeben wurde, wurde Oldebroek Elburg dienstbar. Dadurch hatten die Einwohner von Oldebroek die Möglichkeit, Habe und Gut im Falle feindlicher Angriffe innerhalb der Mauern der Festung von Elburg in Sicherheit zu bringen.
