Zwischen Sittard und Geleen liegt die Stadt Munstergeleen, in der Joannes Andreas Houben am 11. Dezember 1821 geboren wurde, besser bekannt als Vater Karel van Sint Andries.

Im Jahr 1954 wurde die Scheune in eine Kapelle am Geburtsort an der Geleenbeek umgebaut. Ein Ort, an dem man eine Quelle der Kraft finden kann, sei es für ein kurzes Gebet, um eine Kerze anzuzünden oder um im Garten spazieren zu gehen.
Seit Oktober 2012 beherbergt es auch ein Museum und ein Geschäft, das religiöse Gegenstände verkauft.
