Bei diesem Friedhof lag um 1300 eine Kirche mit Bauernhöfen. Der Friedhof war, neben dem Friedhof in Naarden, anfangs der einzige Friedhof im Gooi. Nach der Reformation musste die katholische Kirche verschwinden. Der Friedhof blieb ein Wallfahrtsort. Noch immer zieht am ersten Sonntag nach dem Johannistag, dem 24. Juni, die Sint-Jansprozession von der Sint-Jansbasilika in Laren zu diesem Friedhof.
