Im Laufe der Jahre wurden in Westfriesland rund hundert Bauernhöfe aus der Bronzezeit ausgegraben. Um einen Eindruck davon zu vermitteln, wurde Ende der 1980er-Jahre im Streekbos eine Nachbildung eines Wohnstallhauses errichtet. Nach Beschädigungen und einem Brand wurde der Bauernhof ins Zuiderzeemuseum in Enkhuizen verlegt. Obwohl die Nachbildung hier nicht mehr steht, geben Trittsteine und Baumstämme einen Einblick in das Leben der prähistorischen Bewohner. Die Nachbildung besteht aus authentischen Materialien wie Holz, Lehm, Stroh und Schilf und verfügt über einen Wohnbereich sowie einen Stall für das Vieh.
