Die Wanderung beginnt im Stadtzentrum der ehemaligen Bergbaustadt Kerkrade durch das Naturschutzgebiet Cranenweyer. Bei Hopel folgen Sie den Schildern der Via Belgica mit einer etwas anderen Route durch den Rimburgerbos. Dann durch das Wormdal zurück nach Eygelshoven und über die Hopel wieder am Stausee der Cranenweyer entlang und zurück zum Ausgangspunkt.
