Die Schlacht von Kap St. Vincent von 1641 fand am 4. November 1641 statt, als eine spanische Flotte unter dem Kommando von Don Juan Alonso de Idiáquez y Robles eine niederländische Flotte unter der Leitung von Artus Gijsels während des Achtzigjährigen Krieges abfing. Nach einer erbitterten Schlacht gingen zwei niederländische Schiffe verloren, aber die Niederländer behaupteten, dass nur hundert ihrer Männer getötet wurden; die spanische Flotte verlor ebenfalls zwei Schiffe, aber über tausend Tote. Die beschädigte niederländische Flotte war gezwungen, ihren geplanten Angriff auf die spanische Schatzflotte abzubrechen.
