The Theresienkirche is a Roman Catholic parish and pilgrimage church located in the Hungerburg district of Innsbruck. The church, built in 1931/32, is dedicated to Saint Thérèse of Lisieux and is a protected monument.
In 1910, a "Mariabrunn Church Building Association" was founded on the Hungerburg, which had no church until then. One of the founding members provided a plot of land at the intersection of Gramartstraße/Hungerburgweg. Initially, a simple chapel with a wooden steeple was to be erected, but its construction was delayed. It wasn't until 1927 that a provisional church was set up in a garden house and consecrated to Thérèse of the Child Jesus, who was canonized two years earlier. The chapel contained an image and a relic of the saint, which attracted numerous pilgrims, leading to renewed plans for the construction of a church.
