In Waregem, there is an NMBS station that is used daily by many hundreds of students, commuters, and day trippers. The station has 2 platforms and is located on train connection line 75 and the IC connection Antwerp - Lille Flandres.
Line 75 is the railway line that connects Gent-Sint-Pieters with Lille Flandres (France). The IC train Antwerp - Lille Flandres also stops multiple times a day in Waregem. Every weekday, the train from Antwerp to Lille stops in Waregem every hour; likewise, the train from Lille to Antwerp also stops every hour. This makes the journey to Antwerp take just a little over an hour, while it takes 40 minutes to get to Lille. And all this without transfers! From December 12, 2010, this IC train will also stop in Waregem on weekends, at the same times as during the week.
You can obtain the full train schedule at the station's ticket counters. You can also visit here for travel tickets, train cards, and subscriptions. Reservations and more information about discount rates and special offers are also possible.
In 2016, the entire area around the station will be redeveloped, including spacious bus platforms. The (temporary) station building will also be refurbished.
