This day walk takes us to the Great Netewoud in the heart of the green Kempen. It is formed by various nature reserves along the Great Nete and its tributaries, situated between Balen, Geel, Meerhout, and Mol.

We enjoy rare swamp forests, unique drifting dunes, flower-rich grasslands, and beautiful heathland. Here and there, we follow the meandering Nete, and we take a break along the way at the atmospheric visitor center in a 17th-century watermill, where we also indulge in our own packed picnic.
