The track of this route was cleaned up on 14-08-2022

You can leave from the beautiful Sint-Waldetrudiskerk with the spacious parking in front of the church or from the station of Herentals, then about one km will be added. The lover of station walks can adapt this route and walk from the station of 'Herentals' to the station of 'Zichem'.

This is a particularly beautiful walk that runs through various, in our opinion, beautiful nature reserves. We pass through the domain 'Teunenberg' in Olen. Domains 'De Beeltjens' and 'Kwarekken' in Westerlo. The 'Averbodes forest' in Averbode. Etc... The route regularly follows sections of the GR5.
