The route starts at the Het Aanwijs car park in Beernem, but passes the Beernem station, which can serve as a starting point for users of public transport. After 14 km there is the possibility of a stopover in Het Boothuis at the pleasure marina of Beernem. The route passes through a beautifully redesigned part of the Het Bulskampveld nature reserve to start the journey via some beautiful corners of the Sint Amandus psychiatric center to the footpath along the Bruges-Ghent canal. A little further on it is good to relax in Het Boothuis, after which the heavy traffic is avoided to arrive back at parking Het Aanwijs.
