The Ratinger Hof was an artists' pub in the 1970s and early 1980s and a meeting point for the underground culture in Germany. The Ratinger Hof is often regarded as the birthplace of German punk. The pub was located in the old town of Düsseldorf at Ratinger Straße No. 10.
In the Ratinger Hof, which until the end of 1975 was a cozy pub with a starry sky on the ceiling, carpeted tables, and a jukebox, the psychedelic crowd of Creamcheese, the punk community, as well as rockers and some mods from the Düsseldorf area gathered. From 1974 to 1979, Carmen Knoebel and Ingrid Kohlhöfer were the operators.
