Zschornau-Schiedel is a former municipality in the Bautzen district, now a district of the town of Kamenz. The district of Zschornau is located northeast of Kamenz along the S 95, adjacent to the Kamenz airport. In 1990, the municipality of Zschornau-Schiedel had 327 inhabitants. In 1999, the rural municipality was incorporated into the city of Kamenz.
The forms of the place names changed over time. Tschorne became Czornaw and later Zornaw. The current name Zschornau has been used since 1875. The name of Schiedel changed from Schildowe, Schedelawe, Schidlo, 1866 Zschiedel to Schiedel.
