Waldow, Lower Sorbian Waldow, is a district of the municipality of Spreewaldheide in the Dahme-Spreewald district. It belonged to the Neu Zauche estate from the Middle Ages until 1674, and from 1674 to the Neu Zauche office, which was dissolved in 1874. In 1966, Waldow merged with Sacrow to form the municipality of Sacrow-Waldow. With the merger of Sacrow-Waldow, Laasow, and Butzen into the municipality of Spreewaldheide in 2003, the municipality of Sacrow-Waldow was dissolved. Since then, Waldow has been one of the four districts of the municipality of Spreewaldheide. The administrative affairs of the municipality are managed by the Lieberose/Oberspreewald office.
Waldow is located about 16 km east-northeast of Lübben, about 12 km west-southwest of Lieberose, and about 5.5 km north of Straupitz. The municipality borders Siegadel and Goyatz to the north, Mochow to the east, Laasow to the south, and Sacrow to the southwest and west. The village can be reached via the K6109 from Neu Zauche, leading past Sacrow or from Straupitz on the K6109 through Laasow. There is also a connecting road leading east to the L44 from Waldow.
