Nordic walking route with numerous interesting historical relicsThe 15 km tour starts at Karlsberger Hof. This is the only surviving building of the entire Karlsberg Castle complex, which was famously destroyed by French Revolutionary troops in 1793. Revolutionary troops destroyed it. From here, the route continues past the Karlsberg pond to the former orangery and the so-called Court of Honor. Together with the orangery, it was the center of the Karlsberg Palace complex. Here you will find important excavations from the heyday of the state residence of Karlsberg Palace. You now reach the idyllic Lambsbach Valley, along the banks of which you continue your walk. Other original sites of the former castle are: the ducal chestnut trees, the Tschifflik pavilion, the swan pond and the bear kennel.
