Adventure seekers first follow the route through the Oldenbütteler Holz to the Sandhausener Moor. To avoid getting off track on the partially natural paths, you should always keep your GPS device in view. Upon arriving at the Sandhausener Moor, you will be greeted by the incredible diversity and beauty of this landscape. After taking in the surroundings, you can learn about how the farmers used to live and work in the moor at the local museum in Hambergen-Ströhe. The Moorkate also features a reconstruction of a dwelling from the time of moor settlement. The route then takes you to the Hamberger Moor. Marvel at colorful dragonflies and shy lizards. Along the way, you will see picturesque moor lakes and traces of peat extraction.
