Fields, meadows, and forests form the backdrop of the cycle path, which runs from Wintermoor in the Lüneburg Heath through the fairytale town of Buxtehude to Hamburg-Cranz. A leisurely stroll through the picturesque alleys of Buxtehude is a rewarding stopover. From here, the Este - the eponym of the cycle path - is always within sight. The river meanders past magnificent half-timbered houses in the fruit orchard Altes Land to its mouth in the Elbe in Hamburg-Cranz.
