Umgebindehausradweg -> Umgebindehaus cycle path

The starting point for the 35 kilometer circular tour is the "Textile Village" of Großschönau. The village is known for its damask and terry weaving and the holiday park TRIXI-Park. Approximately 660 well-preserved Umgebinde houses can be admired in this municipality alone. The tour continues towards Waltersdorf. From here, the Lausche (793 meters) can be best "hiked"! Lovingly restored Umgebinde houses can also be found in the climatic health resort of Jonsdorf. Butterfly house, Nun's Rocks, spa park, or ice sports arena are just a few recommended highlights. The Zittau narrow-gauge railway also "chugs" through the village.

After a rollercoaster ride, the flower village of Bertsdorf-Hörnitz with its castle and park "Althörnitz" and the popular excursion destination "Koitsche" is reached. The tour continues through the deeply incised Roscher Valley near Mittelherwigsdorf until reaching Hainewalde. The Renaissance castle in the village lies dreamily and waits to shine in new splendor. Our tip: a detour to the Kanitz-Kyaw crypt. From there, it's a leisurely ride back to Großschönau on the Rübezahl cycle path.
