Las Pilas[1][2] is a Spanish municipality in the Catalan comarca of the Barberá Basin. According to the 2009 census, its population was 215 inhabitants.
Reconquered at the end of the 10th century, it came under the protection of the Castle of Montclar at the beginning of the 11th century. It changed hands several times until it was sold in 1072 to Ramón Berenguer I. He did not hold the possession for long, as days later the count returned it to Oliver Bernat in exchange for him swearing loyalty.
