Marminiac is a municipality in southern France with 350 inhabitants in the Lot department in the Occitanie region. The municipality belongs to the Gourdon arrondissement and the Gourdon canton. Marminiac is located about 31 kilometers northwest of Cahors in the area of Quercy – more precisely in Bouriane – in the heart of the black Périgord. The town is situated on the upper reaches of the Masse River. Marminiac is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Campagnac-lès-Quercy to the north, Salviac to the east, Cazals to the south and southeast, Montcléra to the south, Saint-Caprais to the southwest, Villefranche-du-Périgord to the west and southwest, and Besse to the west.
