Fraissinet-de-Fourques is located below the Causse Méjean. Remaining faithful, from the Protestant Reformation onwards, the parish is a sort of Catholic enclave isolated in the middle of the predominantly Protestant Cévennes
The church, which has been damaged several times, has a nave of three bays with an apse vaulted in a cul-de-four. The exterior is decorated with Lombard arcades.
