This varied walk explores the surprisingly green Haard area around Dudelange. Starting from Dudelange-Usines station, you soon leave the traffic behind and follow mostly quiet nature trails through the former mining area. Along the way, impressive rock formations, old industrial remnants and the historic slag wagon “Gewerkschaft Jünkerath N°11” evoke the area’s rich steelmaking and mining heritage.

In addition to this industrial heritage, you’ll discover the charming Italian quarter, which came into being thanks to the immigration of many Italian miners and their families. The route combines nature, history and culture in a pleasant way, and regularly offers lovely views over the hilly landscape of the Minett region. With 140 metres of ascent and descent, it is a moderately difficult walk. Most of the route follows roads and paths closed to traffic.
