Heusden is a restored fortified town in the Dutch municipality of Heusden, located on the Bergsche Maas. It has approximately 1500 residents (2007).
In 1968, the restoration of the fortified town of Heusden in historic style began. This large-scale restoration project has been ongoing for forty years. During this time, much has been achieved, but the restoration is still in progress. Heusden is the capital of the Land of Heusden.
