The Noordermolen is a polder mill located at Hoogegeest. The mill was probably built in 1589 for the drainage of the Groot-Limmerpolder, after the Spaniards destroyed the predecessor of the mill in 1573 during the siege of Alkmaar in the Eighty Years' War.
The mill is equipped with a wooden screw. Originally, it was an inside climber and in the 19th century, the Noordermolen was converted into an upper climber.
