Cycle past Friesland’s young heritage
The route starts at the lighthouse in Harlingen and follows the sea dike towards Marrum. Here you’ll find the Dijktempeltje by Ids Wiersma, monument number 1 on the route. You then cycle to Leeuwarden, where you’ll discover several remarkable monuments, including the iconic Slauerhoffbrug. Via the route’s southernmost point—the television tower at Spannenburg near Tjerkgaast—and Workum, home to the Jopie Huisman Museum, you return to Harlingen.
A varied discovery tour of remarkable architecture, young heritage and the Frisian landscape. A great warm-up for the Elfstedentocht by bike!
