The walk begins at one of the most famous borgs in Groningen, the Menkemaborg. Here you will discover the French-style garden, equipped with a berceau, a labyrinth, and a vegetable and herb garden. Afterwards, you will wander across a quiet, old dike into the countryside. You will pass by farmhouses and continue along the Uithuizermeedstermaar, once a busy waterway. Shortly thereafter, you will cross the water via a high road, to then return in the direction of the borg.
