This kiosk on the Temple Esplanade was built in the late 1920s.
In 1930-1932 the metal structure was replaced by a charming set of eight beautiful granite columns . This work was made possible by the money raised by the late Bernardo Sequeira. The accompanying plaque is kept in this museum.
It was this bandstand that served as a stage for the annual festivities in honor of the Holy Spirit, which inspired the people of Braga to make a lively pilgrimage to the mountain of Bom Jesus . These festivities were one of the main attractions of Bom Jesus, but they fell into oblivion until they disappeared from the calendar of popular festivities in Braga. Recently, the brotherhood of Bom Jesus has taken up the old tradition again.
