El Bielerhöhe conecta el Montafón de Vorarlberg con el Paznaun tirolés. El paso se encuentra a 2037 m sobre el nivel del mar, directamente al norte del embalse de Silvretta y completamente en territorio de Vorarlberg. El Bielerhöhe es el punto más alto accesible de la carretera alpina de Silvretta, una carretera de peaje que, debido a su ubicación expuesta, está cerrada para el tráfico normal en invierno. Sin embargo, se puede llegar al paso desde Partenen a través del Vermuntbahn y un túnel de illwerke vkw AG, así como el último tramo de la carretera del paso habitual a través de un servicio de taxis.
