La Escuela Agrícola Estatal de Rotholz en el Castillo de Rotholz se encuentra en el municipio de Strass im Zillertal, en el Unterinntal cerca de Jenbach.
Originalmente, arriba del fondo del valle se encontraba la Rottenburg, pero el nombre Rotholz ya estaba documentado en 1180. En esa época, era propiedad de los señores de Rottenburg, ministeriales de los condes de Andechs. Como castillo, se documenta en 1263 como Castrum Rotenbruchì. Más tarde, también aparece el nombre Thurnegg, como torre de vigilancia, que fue también el nombre que se le dio al castillo al principio.
