Los cimientos de esta casa de campo de castillo datan del siglo XIII. Aquí se encontraba la residencia de la familia ‘Van Vrechem’, un linaje de nobles, caballeros y grandes terratenientes "que durante toda la Edad Media definieron la historia de Denderwindeke". En el siglo XVIII, la finca pasó a ser propiedad de la influyente familia de patricios bruselenses Vander Noot, de la cual Hendrik, abogado y defensor durante la revolución brabanta (1789-1790), es el más conocido. Sobre la puerta de entrada central, una piedra menciona el año 1739. Arriba, se puede ver la torre de las palomas bajo un techo a dos aguas.
