El Dikke van Sesjans es una estatua de bronce de un caballo, situada en la llanura de hierba junto a la Plaza de San Juan en Hemelveerdegem. La obra fue creada por Jan Desmarets y fue erigida en honor a un semental legendario, conocido en la vida real como "El Dikke". Este semental fue uno de los antepasados del caballo de tiro belga y desempeñó un papel importante en la cría local de caballos, que existió durante cien años en la familia Matthijs-De Mey.
