El Köterberg es una colina con un pico a una altitud de 496 metros, que forma parte del Lipper Bergland, que a su vez es parte del Weserbergland. Desde la localidad de Polle se supera una diferencia de altura de 406 metros en 13 kilómetros. Los últimos uno y medio kilómetros son callejones sin salida y son los más empinados (hasta un 14%). En la cima hay una torre de televisión y el Köterberghaus.
