El monasterio de Breitenau fue una abadía benedictina en la localidad de Breitenau del municipio de Guxhagen cerca de Kassel, en la entonces "Breiten Aue" en la confluencia de los ríos Eder y Fulda. A partir del siglo XIX, el complejo fue utilizado como "institución de mejora", y desde 1974 como hospital psiquiátrico. Durante la época del nacionalsocialismo, el campo de concentración de Breitenau estaba alojado en el monasterio.
