Desde finales del siglo XI hasta principios del siglo XII, la iglesia fue construida como una basílica de pilares de tres naves con techo plano. A mediados del siglo XIII, el ábside semicircular fue reemplazado por un cierre gótico de cinco lados sobre una cripta. El cuadrado del coro y los coros laterales fueron abovedados, y el portal occidental ampliado. En la segunda mitad del siglo XV, se abovedó la nave central y en 1486 se completó la sacristía. El cuadrado del coro se conectó con los coros laterales y las naves laterales se adelantaron hasta la fachada de la torre.
