El jardín de Schwabe es el jardín preservado de la antigua propiedad de la familia judía Schwabe en Varel.
La familia ocupó una casa de esquina en la ciudad de Baja Sajonia desde el primer cuarto del siglo XIX y allí operó un comercio mayorista de textiles y un gran almacén. La última generación de la familia Schwabe-Barlewin que vivió en Varel, Curt con su esposa Frieda, de soltera Roseno, y los dos hijos Arthur David y Paul Jakob, huyó a los EE. UU. en septiembre/octubre de 1938, pocos días antes de la Noche de los Cristales Rotos.
