La ruta es una caminata de trayectoria y, en cuanto al perfil, es más bien de dificultad media; transcurre en su mayor parte por caminos forestales, pero también ofrece algunas subidas empinadas por escaleras y algunos tramos por senderos. Debido a la longitud total, la ruta se clasifica como difícil y puede realizarse como una exigente excursión de un día. Sin embargo, quienes consideren que la ruta es demasiado larga para un solo día pueden pasar la noche en la Rotsteinhütte (una cabaña de trekking) después de aproximadamente 15 kilómetros y encontrar más información al respecto en los detalles.
