El aeropuerto internacional de Málaga , denominado oficialmente Aeropuerto Internacional de Málaga-Costa del Sol,[3][4] es un aeropuerto español situado en Málaga, en el distrito de Churriana, a ocho kilómetros del centro de la ciudad. De los tres que participaron en la primera ruta aérea , establecida en España en 1919 por la empresa francesa fundada por Pierre Latécoère, Lignes Aeriennes Latécoère, es el único que ha seguido operando de forma continuada, convirtiéndose por tanto, en el decano de los aeropuertos españoles.[5]
