La etapa 8 forma parte del tramo del Camino del Cid llamado las Taifas o los Tres Reinos. La ruta pasa por tres antiguos imperios musulmanes (Zaragoza, Toledo y Albarracín).

Desde Molina de Aragón, una carretera bastante transitada conduce más lejos en las montañas. El camino no sube constantemente, pero gradualmente te haces más y más alto. Hasta la mitad de la etapa hay algunos pueblos pequeños, pero en Checa, Orea y Orihuela del Tremedal hay más que ver. Estos lugares tienen la apariencia de pueblos de montaña. Finalmente, la ruta termina en el punto más alto del día en Bronchales, a 1560m de altitud uno de los pueblos más altos de España.
