Ante la presencia de la central de Garoña
Entre Barcina del Barco y San Martín de Don, ambas localidades dentro del trayecto de la etapa 10, el Camino Natural del Ebro propone también un trayecto alternativo por la orilla derecha del Ebro, con su primer hito en la central nuclear de Santa María de Garoña, que resalta no sólo como instalación industrial, sino por el microclima cálido que causa en el río. Tras cruzar los tradicionales núcleos de Santa María y Orbañanos y gozar en el camino de excelentes vistas de los montes Obarenes y el entorno, se llega a Tobalinilla, al comienzo del desfiladero de Sobrón. Se cruza su puente y por la carretera se llega a una pista que lleva a San Martín de Don.
