Partiendo de Madriguera en dirección norte, en seguida se gira hacia el noroeste por una pista forestal, cruzándose la carretera hacia Riaza. Se desciende entonces por el valle del río Cambrones, hasta cruzarlo y remontar la ladera entre jarales en busca de la carretera de Becerril a Villacorta. Pasada la carretera, el Camino sigue por pista forestal, internándose en un robledal tras pasar un paso canadiense. La pista se acerca al cauce del río Vadillo, compartiendo trazado con la Senda 6 durante un kilómetro para desviarse en dirección hacia Becerril por el tramo compartido con la Senda 4.
Pasado Becerril, el Camino emprende su regreso hacia Madriguera, descendiendo de nuevo hacia el cauce del río Cambrones. Cruzado el río por un puente, se emprende la subida desde el cauce hasta alcanzar la carretera de Serracín a Madriguera, por donde se continúa hasta alcanzar este último pueblo.
