Esta ruta empieza en Girona y se dirige hacia Banyoles. Justo antes de llegar a Banyoles, tenemos la opción de hacer la exigente escalada en el GIV, popularizada por ciclistas profesionales residentes en Girona como David Millar y Dan Martin, que regularmente miden sus fuerzas en esta difícil subida. En el km 25,2 de la ruta gira a la izquierda para seguir este GPX y subir al 100 (9 km de subida aproximadamente). Una vez en la cima, tenemos la opción de dirigirnos directamente a Banyoles (ahorrando 22,4 km de la distancia total de esta salida). La ruta después sigue hasta el lago, donde podemos bañarnos en la zona habilitada y comer en varios restaurantes a orillas del lago. Finalmente volvemos a Girona a través de carreteras secundarias.
