Esta capilla de 1850 (fecha visible en el frontón) se encuentra en la aldea de Granges-de-Plombières. Fue construida por propietarios privados.
Su originalidad reside en que es el único edificio del cantón que tiene un tejado de lava a dos aguas, "sobre terrón". En aquella época, este tipo de cubierta se utilizaba sobre todo en las dependencias agrícolas. Las características especiales de este tipo de techado son el uso de una tierra arcillosa cuidadosamente compactada sobre la superficie exterior de la bóveda de arenisca.
La Chapelle de la Vierge des Champs destaca como la más auténtica de un grupo de trece capillas conservadas o catalogadas en el cantón. Siete de ellas fueron construidas en el siglo XIX, mientras que cuatro lo fueron entre las dos guerras mundiales. Estos edificios, en su mayoría capillas votivas, se erigieron en respuesta a circunstancias como una epidemia, una cura o un viaje.
El tejado se restauró en 1998.
Contiene varias estatuas de yeso y exvotos.
