Alrededor de 1905, el deporte empezó a hacerse notar en Francia. En el parque del balneario de Vittel se instaló un campo de golf y los primeros juegos de petanca, conocidos como "Jeu du Cochonnet".
Ya en 1922, la Société des Eaux creó magníficos campos de juego en un boulodrome cercano a la Roseraie, ganándose la admiración de los boulistes franceses, suizos e italianos.
Todos los años en verano, 2 asociaciones dan vida al boulodrome de Vittel organizando competiciones de petanca y de petanca lyonnaise. El boulodrome es de libre acceso en el parque para los aficionados de un día ¡o de siempre!
El boulodrome del parque termal está abierto a los excursionistas, turistas, veraneantes y balnearios que deseen jugar con amigos o en familia.
