Espectacular itinerario por caminos tallados en la roca. Hay un tramo sin asfaltar de 3 km entre Villard-Notre-Dame y Villard-Raymond, pero la ruta es practicable en moto. Se recomienda una parada de picnic en el lago de Poursoullet para disfrutar de la frescura del lugar. El Pas de la Confession entre Villard-Reculas y Huez es aéreo y requiere precaución. La calzada es estrecha y frecuentada por numerosos ciclistas.
