La iglesia de Taxiarchis es la pintoresca iglesia en el puerto de Vathi. El 6 de septiembre, aquí se celebra cada año una gran fiesta para conmemorar al santo patrón de la iglesia y también al del monasterio situado algo más arriba con el nombre similar (Monasterio de Taxiorchon). Desde la iglesia de Vathi se puede ver salir el sol sobre el paso de montaña de Katsistria y luego seguir su ascenso hacia el sur a lo largo de la ladera de la montaña Katsistria.
