El 12 de septiembre de 1943 hubo seis víctimas aquí como resultado de una masacre de los nazis fascistas en esa zona.
Gino y Alfio Puglia (padre e hijo), Ivo Bovani, Dino Chiti, Lino Lotti y Maria Tasselli fueron puestos contra la pared y ejecutados. Inicialmente, los torturadores se habían llevado a la hija de Maria Tasselli, pero la madre señaló a los nazis que la mujer estaba embarazada de ocho meses. Fue entonces cuando los verdugos se llevaron a la madre en lugar de a su hija para fusilarla junto a los otros cinco civiles. Producto de los golpes y conmoción, la hija de Maria Tasselli perdió al niño, también víctima del trágico hecho.
