El Tempio di Eracle es uno de los templos más antiguos que se conservan en el Valle de los Templos y data del siglo VI a.C.

El templo originalmente tenía 6 x 15 columnas . El Tempio di Eracle contenía inscripciones y tallas en honor a Heracles, así como imágenes del héroe y sus hazañas legendarias. Estas imágenes sirvieron como homenaje al poder divino de Heracles.
El Tempio di Eracle es tan icónico que se puede encontrar una imagen del mismo en el reverso de la moneda italiana de 1 céntimo de euro.
